A man has been charged with six offences following his arrest by the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) yesterday (16 September).
Jon Iacamino, 55, from Honiton in Devon was arrested by officers from the Unit’s Online Investigations Team, after travelling into the Wiltshire area.
He has been charged with two offences of arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence, two offences of making an indecent image of a child, and two offences of distributing an indecent image of a child.
He appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning and has been remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 18 October.
DI David Wells from SWROCU’s Online Investigations Team, said: "My team works alongside a national network of officers tackling offences online, including child sexual abuse and exploitation. We are relentless in our pursuit of people intent on committing these heinous crimes.”
