Created in 2010, the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) covers the five force areas of Avon and Somerset Police, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Devon & Cornwall Police, Dorset Police and Wiltshire Police.
The Unit is made up of both police officers and staff seconded from one of these five forces.
SWROCU offers more than 20 capabilities that work to pursue offenders, protect and prepare individuals and organisations, and prevent people from engaging in serious and organised crime.
Our capabilities are able to offer covert support in a variety of forms.
Our Regional Cyber Crime Unit investigates cyber attacks and offers protect advice to organisations.
We have teams dedicated to investigating economic crime and fraud, including confiscation and asset denial - preventing criminals from accessing their criminal proceeds.
We gather intelligence to support our own operations and that of our regional forces.
And we have dedicated coordinators helping to tackle issues such as county lines, serious organised crime in the community, and the exploitation of vulnerable people.
We are always looking to recruit people with the right attitute and skillset to join our specialist teams. To keep up to date with openings at SWROCU, visit our Careers page.
