This morning (Tuesday 25 March) warrants were carried out across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside as part of a NWROCU investigation into a drugs conspiracy.
Officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, with support from local forces, searched four properties in Skelmersdale, Southport, St Helens and Gatley. During the searches they seized approximately £10,000 cash and cocaine.
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences including conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, and money laundering.
They have been taken to local police stations for questioning.
Detective Inspector Kelly Wild from the NWROCU's Investigation Team said:
"Today's arrests are the culmination of a thorough investigation and the unwavering dedication of our officers and partner agencies. We are resolute in our mission to dismantle the crime groups that plague our communities with drugs, and we are committed to ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice."
