Detectives from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) have charged four men and two women this evening following an extensive investigation into the supply of Class A and B drugs.
This morning (Wednesday, 19 March), NWROCU detectives executed nine search warrants across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
This coordinated operation led to the arrest and charging of the following individuals:
Michael Hughes, aged 40, from Ruskin Avenue, Colne, Lancashire has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs
Elaine Hughes-Edworthy, 74, of Woodside Road, Accrington has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The following have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs:
Tymika Enyia, 34, of Alderglen Rd, Cheetham Hill, Manchester
Mohammed Imran Jamil, 34, of Alderglen Rd, Cheetham Hill, Manchester
Imran Mahmood, 34, of Gartland Walk, Manchester
Thong Nguyen, 50, of no fixed abode.
They have all been remanded and are due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court at 10am tomorrow morning (Thursday 20 March).
A 50 year old man from Padiham and a 50 year old man from Colne, Lancashire have been released under investigation.
