Two men have appeared in court charged with fraud offences alleged to have taken place involving SumUp card reader machines where victims were defrauded of thousands of pounds on their own doorsteps.
Two men have appeared in court charged with fraud offences alleged to have taken place involving SumUp card reader machines where victims were defrauded of thousands of pounds on their own doorsteps.
Gary Drayton, aged 39, of Havelock Street, Ripley, Derbyshire, and Paul Drayton, aged 56, of Main Street, Awsworth, Notts, are both charged with three counts each of fraud by false representation.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in North Yorkshire, Suffolk and Northamptonshire earlier this year.
The charges come following an investigation by the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU).
Both men appeared before magistrates in Leeds on Tuesday (23/9) and have been bailed to appear before Leeds Crown Court on 21 October.
