A man wanted in connection with drug supply on the dark web has been extradited from Greece and returned to the UK.
Andrew Bird, 42, of Bempton Road, Liverpool, was detained in Greece and brought back to the UK on 25 June. He has now been charged with conspiracy to supply and export Class A, B, and C drugs, and possession of extreme pornographic images.
Bird has been wanted by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) since he failed to attend court in September 2024. Following his arrest overseas, arrangements were made for his extradition.
He appeared in Liverpool Crown Court on 26 June and has been remanded until his trial in December 2026.
