Two men charged with firearms offences

Last night (Tuesday 3 March) detectives from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) charged two men as part of a firearms investigation.

Back in December last year, Merseyside Police carried out searches at a park in Liverpool and recovered a firearm. 

Following further investigation, Paul While, 36, of Glenway, Tower Hill, Kirkby, and James Halewood, 38, of Blackacre Road, Halewood, Liverpool have both been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Both men have been remanded to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 4 March).
