The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit can confirm that a 39 year old man was charged yesterday (Monday 27 May) with online child sex offences, reported to have taken place between August 2019 and May 2023.

Robert Collins, 39, of Banks Road, Southport was charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child, attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity, possessing indecent images of a child, and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

He will appear at Sefton Magistrates Court on 12 June 2024.
