This morning (Tuesday 16 December) officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit carried out a warrant at an address in Lancaster as part of an investigation into courier fraud and the receipt of goods through fraud.
A 22 year old male from Lancaster, was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation and suspicion of money laundering.
During the raid, officers seized multiple items including mobile phones, computers and parcels connected to the ongoing investigation.
He was taken to Lancaster Police Station for questioning and has been released pending further investigation.
Detective Inspector Tim Farley from the Economic Crime Unit said:
“This operation highlights our commitment to protecting the public from the dangers of fraud and money laundering, as well as continuing to disrupt those who look to harm our communities.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”
