Manchester man jailed for drug conspiracy

Today (Wednesday 15 October) at Manchester Crown Court, a man from Manchester has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for a series of drugs offences following an investigation by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit.

Allan Sice, 49, of Thornley Rise, Audenshaw, Manchester, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (Cocaine), and three counts of conspiracy to fraudulently evade the prohibition on the importation of Class A drugs (Cocaine).

Sice used the Venetic handle 'luckynumbereight' which he used to broker and facilitate multi-kilo cocaine importation and supply agreements. In one instance, he acted as a middleman between contacts in Colombia and a UK-based buyer with access to a method of circumventing port security in Liverpool.

In total, Sice was involved in agreements to import over 120 kilograms of cocaine. On one occasion, he discussed importing 1–2 metric tonnes, but this was deemed too risky in a single load. It was agreed that 100–200 kilos or “bits” would be more achievable.

Discussions included using bananas or Nescafé as cover loads to conceal the drugs. Sice also bragged in his messages that he was running his own “massive graft” but needed help inside the ports.

In May 2020, Sice asked another handle 'whereareyou' to provide an address for a shipment of cocaine concealed in organic eco-logs. The plan was to start with 550 grams worth £10,000, then scale up to £60,000 once the first shipment landed successfully.

Sice was eventually traced and arrested in Brazil in November 2023. He was extradited to the UK on 14th March 2025.

Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Wild from the NWROCU's Operations Team said:

"This case demonstrates the scale and reach of organised crime and the importance of international cooperation in bringing offenders to justice.

"Allan Sice was involved in plans to flood the UK with cocaine worth millions, using encrypted platforms and global networks. His arrest and extradition show that even those who operate across borders are not beyond our reach."
