Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) have arrested a man in connection with Computer Misuse Act offences.
The 42-year-old from Langley, Berkshire, was arrested on Friday (24/7) on suspicion of unauthorised access to computer material, unauthorised access to computer material to commit a further offence and making, supplying or obtaining articles for use in a Computer Misuse Act offence.
The man was released on bail until 12 October.
The operation was led by SEROCU and supported by officers from Thames Valley Police. Officers executed a warrant on Friday (24/7) at a residential property and carried out search activity. A number of digital devices were seized for specialist digital forensic examination.
The arrest is in connection with an investigation into the use of computer software to bypass security controls, allowing access to the content of a subscription television service.
