Yesterday morning (11 March 2026), officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, with the support of Merseyside Police, carried out warrants at five address on the Wirral.
Two men aged 34 and 41 from Albania, currently living in the UK, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.
A 45 year old man from Heswall, was also arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and money laundering offences.
During the warrants, officers recovered multiple mobile phones which have been seized and sent for forensic examination. £10,000 in cash was seized from inside a safe and a cannabis farm was discovered with over 120 plants inside. Inside a storage unit, officers found hydroponic equipment which was also seized.
All three suspects were taken to a local police station to be questioned and were later released under investigation.
